Cartosat-2 is an advanced remote sensing satellite; weighting around 680 kg was launched successfully by PSLV-C7 on January 10, 2007 from SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota.

Public Undertakings Committee

The Committee on Public Undertakings is a Parliamentary Committee consisting of 22 Members, fifteen of whom are elected by the Lok Sabha every year from amongst its Members according to the principle of proportional representation by means of a single transferable vote and seven Members to be nominated by Rajya Sabha for being associated with the Committee. The Chairman is appointed by the Speaker from amongst the Members of the Committee. A Minister is not eligible to become a Member of the Committee. Define mantle plume and explain its role in plate tectonics

Mantle plume is an up-welling of abnormally hot rock within the earth’s mantle which carries heat upward in narrow, rising columns, driven by heat exchange across the core-mantle boundary. Eventually, the rising column of hot rock reaches the base of the lithosphere, where it spreads out, forming a mushroom-shaped cap to the plume.  Geophysicist, W. Jason Morgan, developed the hypothesis of mantle plumes in 1971. The largest (and most persistent) mantle plumes are presumed to form where a large volume of mantle rock is heated at the core-mantle boundary, about 1800 miles below the surface, although smaller plumes may originate elsewhere within the mantle. INSAT-4CR Satellite, ISRO

GSLV-F04 is the fifth flight of India's Geosynchronous Satellite launch Vehicle (GSLV), launched INSAT-4CR satellite, into a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO) of 170 km perigee and 35,975 km apogee with an orbital inclination of 21.7 degree with respect to equator on September 2, 2007. Subsequently, the satellite was manoeuvred into geostationary orbit using its own propulsion system. The 49 m tall GSLV, with a lift-off mass of 415 tonne, is a three-stage vehicle with solid, liquid and cryogenic stages. The first stage of GSLV, one of the largest in the world, uses Hydroxyl Terminated Polybutadiene (HTPB) based propellant. The second stage and the four strap-on motors surrounding the first stage use liquid propellant 'Vikas' engine burning UH25 and Nitrogen Tetraoxide. The third stage is a cryogenic stage using liquid Hydrogen as fuel and liquid Oxygen as oxidiser. CARTOSAT – 2A, ISRO Satellite

  PSLV-C9 is the thirteenth flight of ISRO's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and the third flight of its 'Core Alone' version as well. In this flight, PSLV launched ten payloads - India's 690 kg CARTOSAT-2A and 83 kg Indian Mini Satellite (IMS-1) as well as eight nanosatellites from abroad together weighing about 50 kg into a 635 km high polar Sun Synchronous Orbit (SSO) inclined at an angle of 97.94 deg to the equator.   With much lighter payloads compared to the ones placed into orbit by its standard version, PSLV-C9 is configured without the six solid propellant strap-on motors of the first stage. The previous two launches of PSLV were also such 'Core Alone' versions. Subhash Chandra Bose's contribution to India's freedom

Subhash Chandra Bose was a prominent freedom fighter who has made an immense contribution to the freedom of our country. He participated in the Non-corporation Movement in 1920 and set an example for the youth of the country and inspired them in many ways. Subhash chandra Bose was a prominent freedom fighter. He participated in the noncooperation movement in 1920. He became the president of Haripura and Tripuri session of congress. He founded the Forward Block in January 1941. He made anti British propoganda from the Berlin radio station and raised free India units with the Indian prisoners of war in germany.  After Ras Bihari Boase resigned from the chairmanship of Indian Independence league subhash chandra Bose became the commander in chief of INA. Food processing sector is one of the sectors which can increase the quality of the produce as well as its value.
