Committee On Food Management In Parliament House Complex

The Speaker, in consultation with the Chairman, Rajya Sabha, has constituted w.e.f. 15 October, 2009, the Committee on Food Management in Parliament House Complex, consisting of 15 members, 10 from Lok Sabha and 5 from Rajya Sabha, with the following terms of reference:- 

(i) to consider the revision of rates of eatables served at Railway Catering Units located in Parliament House Complex; 

(ii) to consider the level of subsidy to be given for running Railway Catering Units in Parliament House Complex; 

(iii) to consider provision of excellent canteen services to members; and 

(iv) to consider other related issues. The Committee shall hold office for a term not exceeding one year.

It is believed that the Armenians came to India as traders through the overland route, crossing Persia, Afghanistan and established their commercial centres in Hyderabad. They eventually came to serve under Qutb Shahis and the Nizams of Hyderabad. The burial complex is enclosed within a compound wall, with an entrance towards the east. Under a four pillar structure are tombs that have epitaphs engraved on them. These epitaphs are arranged according to the Great Armenian Era dating system, the starting point of which is still a matter of debate. The view followed is that the Armenians had adopted the Quinn centenary cycle of Areas they reckoned 562 -The date on which the latter calendar was devised the tenth year of their own cycle. Thus 552 became the first year of the Great Armenian Era.

GSAT-24 Mission

NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), a Govt. of India company under Department of Space (DoS) is undertaking GSAT-24 satellite mission as its 1st Demand Driven mission post space reforms. GSAT-24 is a 24-Ku band communication satellite weighing 4180 kg with Pan India coverage for meeting DTH application needs. NSIL has leased the entire satellite capacity to M/s Tata Play. The status update on GSAT-24 mission GSAT-24 satellite after completing assembly, integration and environmental test was cleared by PSR (Pre-Shipment Review) committee on May 2, 2022.     Satellite and its allied equipments were shipped to Kourou, French Guiana on May 18, 2022 using C-17 Globemaster aircrafts. Satellite was received in Kourou on May 19, 2022. As part of launch campaign activities, the satellite is presently undergoing health/ performance checks at clean room facilities in French Guiana.
